< BackInternal rules in the go-kart centre
In order to provide better service and well-being at the park, we ask you to get aquainted with LaitseRallyPark’s general terms as well as with internal rules.
Provided rules are compulsory for all drivers, spectators and third party people at LaitseRallyPark’s hobby kart centre.
- Recommended height of the driver is above 150cm, max weight 110kg.
- Recommended height on children’s kart is 125cm, max weight 80kg.
- All drivers must wear a helmet.
- Additional equipment (kart race suit, gloves) is voluntary.
- All loose items must be placed away for driving. Loose long hair, scarves, belts etc. must be tied for safety reasons.
- Drivers are strictly forbidden from driving in opposite direction, except when this is inescapably necessary for removing the kart from a dangerous situation.
- Stepping out of the kart while driving is strictly forbidden.
- In case a problem arises, notify the instructor by raising an arm.
- Anyone underage is allowed on the track only with a written permission from their parent or guardian.
- Drive lasts 8 minutes.
- Start from the spot takes place only when arranged so with the instructors.
- Time is not measured on the first and last lap.
- After passing the finish flag, the speed must be reduced and another lap has to be completed, followed by returning to the box area.
- Moving speed at the box area is 3km/h.
- In the case of mechanical failure, you must return to the box area in the first instance or stop driving.
- In the case of a mechanical failure of the kart, the driver will be allowed to take a repeat ride or half of the cost of the ride will be refunded.
- Full costs for causing damage intentionally or as a result of incapability must be compensated by the driver.
- Start line will be composed in freely selected order.
- The start command is turning on the green traffic lights or dropping the green flag suddenly.
- Start mode is to start from the spot.
- Drivers hands must be on wheels at the moment of start.
- Bends and track parts before and after them can be driven on a freely selected path. With several karts moving in the same part of the track at the same time the priority is given to the front driver. The front driver’s priority is lost when the driver following them is next to the front driver’s kart. Hereby the right to ‘cover’ the driver behind is not valid anymore. The position of getting next to front driver’s kart is the front and rear wheels of the karts getting on the same line.
- Overtaking is allowed on both sides.
- ‘Covering’ the driver behind can be done only when changing the path.
- Willing or unwilling hindering of a fellow passenger by one or several competitors is forbidden.
- When driving side by side on bends or on a straight line, both drivers must provide fellow drivers with an opportunity to stay on the track.
- Repeating serious driving mistakes or losing control over the kart (e.g. driving out of track) can cause the offender to be removed from the race. In this instance, the driver won’t get a refund for the race.
- During the race, the engine function can only be influenced with foot pedals. Moving the throttle control by hand is strictly forbidden.
- Driving manners that are against the rules bring along unfair results at the race and create dangerous situations on the track.
Driving against the rules includes the following situations:
- Driver ‘rams’ fellow passenger from behind, side or front.
- The driver didn’t follow the orders given by the signal flag.
- The driver caused a collision.
- The driver pushed another driver out from the track.
- The driver prevented another driver’s justified passing by manoeuvre against the rules.
- The driver ‘covered’ the driving line on one straight line more than once.
- If the instructors identify driving against the rules then the instructor will notify the driver.
